Residual Income
I became aware of Residual Income during a course offered after the Peter Loew's Success Seminar. The program generally discussed using the equity in your home to purchase foreclosed homes to rent them out or to improve then sell at a profit. IT was an interesting theory but I am far more aligned with Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace program that highly recommends paying off your mortgage, using your home as your major asset. So I began to consider how hubby and I were managing what we have and if it is leading us to a better place or if in fact we are on a train that will never stop.
S. works 4 nights a week at WALMART while I work 2 full afternoons tutoring local students in mathematics. Family dinners not really happening, spending time together? not really there. We were certainly working hard, but for the two of us who are rather bright it didn't seem like we were utilizing our best resources.
For the last several years I was working on an at home business that has never brought in any money. Now that is extremely frustrating. I had learned a lot and had a lot of help but I could not seem to put all the pieces together while and when I needed. So I began to pray and research other venues for income. Which it did but is still a fickle business; a student can get sick, decide not to come (with no call) then I am left with an unpaid hour. I could really see myself succeeding with this company, it provides the structure I need along with the flexibility to adapt to my role as a (homeschooling) mother.

Multi-level marketing (MLM) makes me uncomfortable. I want my success to count on me, not on my 'boss' or my 'upline' or my 'downline'. I am not afraid of hard work especially when the path is marked out for me. MLM's are unstable and coercive. I would not align myself with an MLM and I have researched the company to affirm it is not an MLM.
